Diamond Alignment Pins
For full-arch cases and when using solid-colored Diamond Articulators, the Alignment Pin makes it easy to determine the correct pin-hole position before pouring the working model.
First, pour the opposing impression, align it on the open-tray side of the Diamond Articulator, and allow the stone to set. Place an Alignment Pin into the pin hole that appears to line up with the prepared tooth in the working impression.
Rotate the tray and Alignment Pin over the working impression and check the pin’s location. Move the Alignment Pin to a different pin hole as needed until the pin is centered within the prepared tooth area.
Once the correct position is established, remove the Alignment Pin and replace it with a standard brass pin. Pour the working model as usual.
