Single-Sided Impression Cases
Use the mounting putty for physical impression cases that come with single-sided impressions. Roll the putty into a cylinder approximately 2 inches long and place it on the plastic base of the articulator.
Remove any impression material from the bottom of the impression tray. Press the impression tray into the putty and position it so the prepared tooth aligns with the appropriate pin hole. Check the level of the impression to ensure the die will not be too long.
Insert the brass pins and pour the working model. At the same time, pour the opposing model and trim it thin. Position the opposing model in the correct bite and secure it to the working model with sticky wax.
Apply a small amount of plaster to the bottom of the opposing model. Rotate the articulator into position and press it into the plaster. Remove any excess plaster and allow it to set completely.
